To see what was to come was both blessing and curse. In this place it was agony and pleasure. Shadows drifted loosely around her, the kittens entwining about her ankles soothing and yet distracting all at once. Azreal growled softly.
You should have let me stop them.
The shadow guardians' answer was lost to Tyrsis as images faded over her, drawing her tightly in a sea of vision. Waves crashed around her, revealing moments that may or may not be and revealing the tanlge of things considered 'fated'. All a spider-web of choice and splendor. Everything was a choice. Every choice led to a future. And every futre held endless possibilities...
...even for those considered fallen.
An image flashed across golden eyes, highlighted by pale features and soft lips repeating phrases she had only heard her grandmother use once. That had been the day her Grandfather had died. Words of magic and prayer combined into a hushed whisper, lacking neither humility nor power. Shadow misted across her sight, leaving a momentary coccoon of black about her, a moment to breath. Darkness could be either comforting or unwholesome, and it did not take a certain alignment to seee it as such...
...only a different perception.
A boy dashed madly across feilds of green-gray grass, carving a wake in them as he moved. With each blade a life was taken, twin blades spinning effortlessly in dancer's rhythm. Something ached to reach for him, held back as her perception changed once again.
Light slashed across her, starlight portrayed in fiery bursts as it became all consuming. Burning wildfire and crimson across sun gold retinas before revealing the lying angel. Alone on a feild of black, her recent companion lay, hair spilling across her face and arms bound. Stone figurines lay around her as though cast by an uncaring hand. Two glittered brightly, a couple held arm in arm as they looked into one another's eyes and a small black fox with a jester's smile.
The mist wavered, broken apart by sunlight and dissipating the feeling of home . She shivered, the feel of the kitten's about her legs disquieting and soothing all at once. The wolf's muzzle in her palm a quiet reminder that she had nothing to fear, but things to accomplish. Her friends were nowhere to be seen, the forest gone in the momentary lapse that had taken her from danger and farther from her destination...
...but then, man did not always choose his path in life. His choices did.
Green gray grass waved around her, broken only by glimmers of sunlight that sparked it azure. She could feel the ripple of waves as the wind passed around her, feel the coming typhoon of blades as she waited. Lashana was taken, but others needed reclaiming.
