She could feel Sierra's torment over what she had witnessed, though such was no longer a sight she could share in unless it was directly sent to her. She sent a wave of wordless understanding, and also the trick to avoid being intangled in the pain of what she was writing.

Do not look little sister, as the Recorder of All you need not see what you write, only know that it has occurred. The many words I have written have been done largely without my conscious notice. Distance yourself from what you write, if only a little.

Even as the thought was given she realized what her own writing lacked, the ability to sympathize with those that suffered, feel rage at those who's actions were vile, and oddly enough, dispair that she could not help even with all of her knowledge at her disposal. She had that distance, but there were times it was at too great a remove for it to be useful. Still she hoped it would help her replacement, and perhaps Father would take pity on Sierra and allow Zoltarra to return to her post sooner. Only Sierra could petition Father for that though, in her current state of disgrace he would most likely not listen to her.
