The pain had dwindled to near nothing, only an everpresent ache to give credence to the wound that she had been dealt. Silver threads of music wound around her, leaving healing behind and a sense of peace that let her float on a sea of unconsciousness. She hovered, somewhere between true slumber and the darkness that accompanied unwanted unconsciousness. A presence was always near, always familiar, though occasionally it was joined by one that was only vaguely recognizable. She identified in a sleep riddled way who watched over her by their emotional surges that pulsed their way into her mind via her gift. She was one of those rarest of bards, not only able to send her emotions to others, but also to recieve emotions from those around her. Her grandparents were a soothing solid that reassured just by being there, Keman a flicker of worry, a sliver of anger that was not directed at her, and a puff of hope that hovered around her like a cloud. Others that watched were ones she had grown up with, sending their strength to her with openhearted generosity. This community was small and everyone knew each other and would defend against any who would threaten one of their own. Knowing she was being cared for she allowed sleep to claim her, letting the beckoning darkness slide up and over her and send her spiraling down into a deep dreamless sleep.
