The panther rose from her crouch and took off through the trees, bone, muscle and sinew working smoothly together to send her speeding along barely visible trails. Her duty was done, Wyrd had returned to his lady and would protect her. Claws dug deeply into the soft soil as she ran, there was other work for her to do.

Coppery eyes looked and met identical ones staring at her. Sincerity flowed from her eyes, the wish to aid a creature in need strongly shown on her face.
