Miyu stood alone in his mind, rivulets of liquid ash flowing all around him. He was powerless against it as it circled around him, the snaked up his legs, enveloping him in a whirlpool of grey liquid. He cried out.

Miyu's eyes snapped open, crimson bright, and he started.

"Miyutoo? ...Father?

Colnae's eyes were wide with something akin to shock as his grey paws drew back from his child, as well as the rest of the shadowchildren gathered all around. Miyu blinked and looked down, and nearly cried out at what he saw.

No longer black, he was instead ash colored, with black tiger stripes down his sides.

"What did that witch do to me!?

Not the Forgotten, that one is dead. It's what we did to you.

Miyu swiveled his head as a small black fox appeared, surrounded my a mirad of shadow cats.

"Guardian?"

Colnae couldn't help you on his own. He sent for me to help. With the forgotten dead, with it went the darkness she placed on you. Make no mistake you're still a shadow child, you're just not...black anymore.
