He sneered these words as his head darted backwards from the slash. She may have power, but she couldn't match a serpent for speed. His entire body was built for strickly that. Muscles were all his body was, save for his spine.

"You're not very nimble for a dragon, must be all that lard slowing you down."

His wings nearly disappeared down his sides, completely flat against him.

"But I'll give you fair warning, airbag. The more you wound me, the more you taint yourself."

And it was true, the blood on her hind talons and the blood he splattered on her scales slowly seeped through the crevaces between the scales and into the pores of her delicate skin.

"My blood could easily kill a normal dragon, I wonder to see what it could do to you."

He moved again, out of her reach of another swipe.
