He sighed and closed his eyes after the music overcame him. This is what he had lived for at one time, only to have it stripped away by someone he had crossed.
~You meddling bard. I curse you to live as a sea serpent. No more will I have to bear that horrid noise you call music. You will be a warning to the others of your kind. Leviathan!~
But even then he could still sing, until the time he failed to protect someone he cared for.
~"Ariel is no more, but you, you water snake, shall be my new pet."~
And there he had been pushed while the magic took its toll. Pushed to the back of Zigorot's mind while he could only watch as Nystka helped wipe out the PrismStars.
But now Nystka was erased from reality, and any and all ties she had on subduing him were gone. It was the music from another bard that had awakened him completely, and it would be music to restore him to what he had been before Nystka.
Leviathan.
The silvery scales on Zigorot greyed and turned dull, as they do when a snake is about to shed its skin. Scale-feathers fell off in masses, littering the ground. The hide down his back split down the middle, revealing white under the grey tone of the old skin, but darkened to blue on contact with air.
His body writhed as he moved upwards, the shell of dry skin flaking away and falling off of him. A huge muscled body shed its skin of a past exsistence, the old shell blown away with a light breaze, even as the music continued to fill the air.
Wind caught finned wings and blew any remaining scale-feathers away. There was nothing birdlike anymore about him. The sick twisted form of Zigorot was no more, but instead replaced by something even more serpentine than the Snake Lord had ever been, but somewhat more pristine.
Irredecent colors reflected off of smooth ocean blue hide, complemented by three pair of blue-violet wing sized fins. The scale feather plume was replaced by two huge fins on either side of his head.
He opened his eyes to reveal opal colors, lacking any distinct pupil. His voice was far deeper than before, and by far more musical.
"Thank you..."
