Her paw reached out and grasped the hilt of the sword, long before the leash was released. But it snapped and sent an audiable pang through the air when it did, striking Zenra like a rubber band. Something screeched in the air, then damn near exploded only a few feet from Zenra. Whatever it had been, it had been replused by whatever it was in the sword. She sighed and closed her eyes.

The dragonic facade melted away, leaving Zenra crouched on the ground with one hand on the sword. Not tainted by whatever it had been sent after her "for her troubles", she stood. She did not feel hate, but something else.

She felt quite sad, and she felt pity, and perhaps an odd sense of compassion for Ceallac. But for some reason, she didn't feel hate.

Maybe it was time to go after all.
