It was slow goings. Such as they were always. But the boy had wanted to go it alone, and she didn't fight his wishes, just more or less told him if he needed anything to give her a call. She'd know, she always had.

But new things were stirring, darklings were wandering around more often than naught, and she casually wondered if she should be concerned. Withough Rue's insight, she only had brief flickers now of things to come, most of them weren't very uplifting. But that was this race's fate, and she'd accepted it along time ago. But the PrismStars had made sure that they wouldn't fall, should the goddess, when they swore to Grace as well as Yukina. They had known one day the Conclave would grow tired of them, and sever the tie, but they never could have even dreamed up Ceallac even in their wildest nightmares.

Even in death he still lingered. She could feel it in the new presence that was hovering around. A live soul, living in a body that had been given by another and not born into it.

Ariel ran a hand over the blue waves of grass. This of all places was far from where most would venture, and she could be alone for however long she wished.

And she sensed even that would be drawn short.
