A rivulet of water made its way downwards, winding between smallest pebble and largest boulder, carving dirt as it came. More water followed its wake, icy cold as it branched, continually pulling at its surroundings. Another trickle larger than its forefathers over ran their paths, consuming them into an entirity of a whole. A blackened streak crossed the surface, an eyeblink moment of darkness in water. Sandaled foot stepped into its depths, spraying water everywhere...

Tyrsis started, a hand rising to brush persperation from her forehead, almost trying to brush away her dreams as well. Something felt eerily wrong about this place, a presence of its own as the darkened library stood abandoned about her. Nothing living had been seen, no spider, no bat, no moth. Two pairs of footprints marred the layering of dust, both old now as dust had begun to replace itself within their hollowed space. She had stayed near the doorway, feeling as though something ancient had been trespassed and she had been accepted to it only because a proper guardian was lacking.

Lightning crossed the night time sky and Tyrsis pulled away from the door's arc. Bursts of color and light as energy tore cloud and air asunder. Black shaded wings pulled close about her, soft feather comforting as she leaned against the inner wall of the building. There was little choice but to sleep the night through. The crescendo of rain confirmed her thoughts.

A droplet of water quivered, swirl of shadow and light glimpsed across its rounded surface. Tension withheld its contents, shadowed streak pressing against it as things caught within sought life... and an escape through death... Droplet shattered, fragments of glasslike ice falling about it as rivulets poured in all directions, tearing apart earth as they fell and progressing as drop gathered individual drop. A stream ran, rapid and white crowned as it tore over rocks and at the base of trees. Willow fell, shallow roots torn apart by its very lifesource, something malicious in the gurgle and rush of water. Light and dark glimmered around its edges.
