"Why should we trust these shadowchildren? This one says he can let us out and the only condition to it is having one of them occupy our body for the limited time it takes to get free of this place. There has to be more to it, they wouldn't help us without a reason, and helping us out of the goodness of their hearts doesn't feel right. There has to be more to their offer than what they're telling us. I just wish I knew what it was.

The panther paced restlessly, ears laid back in frustration. She wanted out, but she didn't trust their "cousins" at all and didn't want to have to start.
