Zenra...

The name resonated off unseen walls.

Ariel?

Near neon yellow eyes looked up toward the girl, pained and her face tear streaked with crystline streaked. Fighting a losing battle. Her hands came off her head and clasped the girl's hand, forcing herself to drink what was in the vial, whether it save or damn her, she didn't care. She swallowed.

Images swirled and changed to a glowing green color. Nystka spun around in a circle, looking at all the changing images, her face horrified. "No!" She vanished.

Ariel's wings fell almost instantly, changing from blades to feathers in a soft swish of grass. Her hands fell away from Tyrsis' and dropped into her lap, and she hung her head, taking in small sharp breaths.

A mist rose from her wings and her hair, the dark hues of her rainbow colors fading to something brighter and calmer, the mist itself a thick black fog. Rainbow hues danced in pale colors was a breeze whispered past. The fog itself, though, swirled angrily before darting a few feet away and slamming into the ground.

Ariel opened her prismed eyes long enough to see the blue grass replaced with darkness, everything fading to black. Small white balls faded into sight and a figure stood from where the fog had slammed down. Eyes opened to reveal nothing but pure yellow light for eyes before disapating to normal, yellow catlike eyes. Ariel whispered one name as she stood and turned.

"Nystka..."

Nystka only smiled and said one word as she raised on hand to the sky, palm up, an infinity flashing on her forhead.

"Shadow Flare."

A prism can amplify any energy or disapate it unless it's already limitless.

Ariel heard Rue's words ring in her head as the white balls raced toward her, but beyond them, she heard the perfect song of the source of all. The Weave. Her eyes widened, then her brow tightened together and she raised a hand.

"Prism."

Each white ball struck her hand and disappeared then she brought her hands together and released the energy back at Nystka, but rainbowed instead of white.

Nystka growled and lept out of the way with a huge flap of her black wings as the color and light returned to the area.

"I don't have time for this."

She turned in the air and flew off, but not before releasing a group of wraiths on the two women. Ariel gasped and realized without that tiny bit of Nystka, she had no more protection from dark creatures. Instead, she did the only thing she could do.

She grabbed hold of Tyrsis' arm and raised her hand, grabbed an invisible something and pulled. Both the women disappeared along the invisble network of the weave and reappeared in the only safe place from the Wraiths.

Elrihm's forest. And Elrihm was there to greet them when they arrived.
