She stepped, nearly staggered backwards, complete fear and terror etched across her face, as well as shock.

"This...can't be!"

The words 'holy shit' flitted quickly past her mind, but never made it out into real words. Instinctually her wings splayed and bladed, for lack of anything better to do, and she kept backing up. The choir gave away her truest fears, she'd hoped to never to hear it again.

"But it's impossible."

Alone and hysterical, she was faced again with the only one that could ruin everything she'd tried so hard to keep together. The only thing she could do was cry for help, but she had a feeling her plea would never leave this room.
