She continues her work in concentrated silence. Having cleaned the wounds she applies a cool ointment to ease the pain and make the cuts heal faster, then the girl cover them with white, linen bandages.

Critically surveying her work it hits her how painfully obvious the contrast between this mistreated animal and the others in the city is. Finding it embarrassing to ask, she just goes on with trying to wash some of the dust and dried blood out of his coat.

Haing finished also this in silence, Laurelle start to gather her things. Studying the equine she thinks to herself that he doesn't look that abused anymore - perhaps it is something in the way he carries himself, but even with the white bandages everywhere he looks more like a warrior carrying wounds from brave battles. His coat still lacks the healthy gloss but it looks much better.

"How do you feel?"
