Morris County Parade is Saturday, March 10th .
All are welcome to dance and march (families & strollers welcome!)
Meet 11am behind the Municipal building, South St,Morristown. Step off: noon.
Directions to the parade lot:
Take Route 287 to Madison Avenue exit
At end of ramp turn onto Madison Avenue (west toward Morristown center)
Go 100” to traffic light, bear right onto South Street
Municipal Building (on right) is across from Kings Supermarket
*All dancers must have an adult marching with them
The Somerville St. Patrick's Day Parade is on Sunday, March 11th.
We have been asked again to perform in front of the grandstand before the parade and march in the parade.

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted you all to know that I saw Peter last night. He was resting very comfortably. I was talking to him and he seemed to know who I was and he squeezed my hand when asked. Peter had a small proceedure done this morning and after that, he is being moved back to Hartwick. He will probably need a day or two to get settled back in over there. After that, if anyone would like to visit him, please call Peggyann or Jimmy so they can let you know if it is a good day for him to have visitors. And, at this point, they are still asking that no children go. Thank you for all of your prayers and thank you for following the family's wishes for visiting.

Hello again everyone,
I spoke with Jimmy a little while ago. He asked me to post this update for all of you. Thank you for your continued support, concern and prayers. As of right now, Peter is resting comfortable and holding his own - still. Jimmy and Peter's family are asking that no visitors come at this time. Even though Peter is stable, he is still in CCU and the risk of visitors bringing in germs to the unit is extremely high. And thank you for respecting their wishes and refraining from telephone calls to the unit. I am sure the hospital staff appreciates your efforts.
Once again, this is the best place for any updates. If you have specific questions, please call your main teacher. As always, I can be reached on my cell @ 908-285-1556

I have great news!!! Peter has been taken off the breathing tube and is doing very well!! I guess God heard all our prayers! But, his family and the hospital want him to rest and they have asked that there still be no visitors for the next few days. I will definitely post as soon as they are allowing visitors!! Hey Everyone,
Here is today's update. I spoke with Jimmy just a short while ago. There is no new news for today - other than to say that Peter is still, thankfully, resting comfortablely. Jimmy and Peter's entire extended family want to thank everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. And they would also like to thank you for respecting their/the hospital's wishes on visits and phone calls.
Hopefully, I will be posting here shortly that we can all go and visit.
If there is an emergency, Jimmy and Peggyanne can both be reached via cell phones. But please remember, they are in CCU with Peter, so only for emergencies.
If anyone has any questions about the travel arrangements for the Worlds, please contact your primary teacher. And I can always be reached on my cell as well @ 908-285-1556.

Thanks so much for all of your thoughts and prayers for Peter and his family. I just got off the phone with Jimmy and he did give me an update. Peter is doing "slightly" better than yesterday, but he is still sedated. He is resting comfortably and was squeezing hands when asked. Again, the family - and the hospital - have requested that there be no visitors at this time. They will let us know when he is well enough for all of us to be there! And, once again, please continue to follow the Critical Care Unit's wishes and make no phone calls to them either. I know all of your understanding has been comforting to Peter's family. Any questions or concerns, you can certainly call Jimmy, any of the other teachers or myself. My cell number is 908-285-1556. Please keep checking this site for the most up-to-the-minute information.

I have been asked to send this message to our entire Peter Smith Family. Last night, Peter was taken to JFK Hospital with breathing difficulties as a result from yet another bout of pneumonia. He is currently in the Critical Care Unit at JFK. He is resting comfortablely. Due to the nature of the unit he is in, his family has requested that no visitors come at this time. The hospital has also requested that no one call there looking for more information. This is the place to get the most up-to-date information. Please keep checking here as I will update with any new information as it does come in. Anyone who has an emergency, can certainly contact Jimmy or Peggyanne via cell phone. But please remember, they are in the Critical Care Unit w/ Peter - so only for an emergency. Please keep Peter, his family and our extended Peter Smith family in your prayers.

- FRIDAY CLASS LOCATION MOVED TO CHATHAM STARTING TONIGHT 10/14/11 -- Class is at Dance Innovations in Chatham, 16:03:37 10/14/11 Fri [1]
Starting THIS Friday, October 14th we will be having our class (3 minutes away) at Dance Innovations, 3 Townsquare, Chatham, NJ 07928. Here's their website: http://www.danceinnovations.org/ It's just a few blocks off of Route 24, Exit 7 A (Route 124 / Main St. Chatham). From Rt. 24, take exit 7A, follow around to the right onto Rt. 124 toward Chatham Madison, go through one traffic light (University/Parrot Mill), a block up on the right hand side, turn Right onto Roosevelt Avenue (where the old William Pitt used to be), make second left into parking lot - there is a sign for Dance Innovations there. From Morris Ave. in Summit you can head into Chatham via Chatham Road... it runs out to Main street across from Townsquare. It's literally 3 mins from the old location.
Our class will be in the 13 Roosevelt Ave. Studio which is to the left of their main office and studio building. It has a small waiting room, a lovely, large mirrored studio with sprung wood floors, air conditioning and a bathroom - all within one building. It has steps up to the doorway.
IMPORTANT for Parents of Dancers in Hard shoe: PLEASE ENSURE HARD SHOES HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO TAPE - DUCT, GAFFER OR ELECTRICAL on the tip OR heel of your shoe. Any part of the shoe that comes in contact with the floor - heel, toe, tip - must NOT have tape. The floor in the studio is a professional dance floor made for tap dancing. It is not slippery. It has no marks on it and we want to keep it that way. The dancers do not need tape for this floor - it is not shiny. I will be inspecting all shoes before dancers enter the studio. Dancers with tape will be sent out in the waiting area to remove the tape from their shoes. A way for parents to remove tape is to take a scissor and scrape it off. Once you do that, you can rub sandpaper on the tip to get off the sticky residue. Might I remind you too that the marley floor we use in Martinsville should not require tape either. These are floors that are used by professional dancers of all kinds - specially engineered NOT to be slippery.
