On the home page of 121 smith street, it states John Willis Green (Sr.) had John Willis Green (Jr.) in about 1862 and died soon after. My question is, was John Willis Green (Sr.) not the father of James Knox Polk Green also born 2-15-1864? Was Mary pregnant at the time John (Sr.) died? I have found a 1870 census that lists Mary Green, John W. Green, and James K.P. Green living in the household of James K.P. Vandevender. Can anyone help me put the pieces together on this? I think that after John (Sr.) died, Mary and the children moved in with her brother maybe since her maiden name was Vandevander.
