Subject: "Tried that." She stood up, flickering her cigarette and picking up her bottle before she met his gaze evenly. "It didn't work." She cleared her throat lightly, frowning a bit as she tilted her head. "I am going to get another drink, do you want anything?" She just wanted to get drunk, to not think about any of this. It was bad enough having a partner, then to make it worse to have him, if something happened to him how would she live with it? She had loved him more then anything in the world and if she had to watch him die she couldn't stand it.
