• His day hadn't gone much better - for whatever reason, Sullivan had ordered a urine test the day before and he had, not surprisingly, tested positive for cocaine metabolite. His drive over - in his finally completely redone 442 - had been spent trying to figure out how he could mentally go 72 hours without using in order to be clean for his re-test. But he didn't even know when that re-test would be, all he knew was that it would happen and sooner rather than later. With a low sigh, he ran a lightly trembling hand over his head before knocking and then letting himself in. "Bai Bai?" Her jacket had been discarded leaving her in just the black lacy cami she had worn underneath it and the pin striped skirt that was resting high on her thighs. "Hey baby..." • "Hey." He lingered in the doorway for a moment, watching her quietly, and then stepped back a little before turning and heading into the kitchen. Pulling open the fridge door, he reached for a beer but then changed his mind and opted for a bottle of water instead - unsure quite why, but just that he wasn't feeling much like anything. Normally, he didn't mind disciplinary suspensions - sometimes he got paid, but even when he didn't he had enough to get by until he was reinstated, and he didn't mind the time off. He wasn't like her - was much less driven. It was hard this time around though because, should he re-test positive, his only options were accept expulsion, or appeal. • Lingering with his hands on the edge of the counter, back to her and the rest of the kitchen, for a long moment, at her kiss he tipped his head forward slightly and then shifting finally to turn to face her. "They tested me..." The unnerving part was that they had tested only him - none of the other guys - which made him wonder if someone had said something to Sullivan, and he hated having to start questioning and doubting the guys he worked with. • "Yeah... Till they decide they want to test me again..." That was really the hardest part - not knowing when to aim to be clean, wondering how long he could push usage... At her beckoning, he flicked it off and stood to head into the bathroom to join her. • "I don't think I would really mind if you lost your job in the agency." If he would just get clean he could get another job, and she just worried with him being there for so many reasons. His volatile temper and Sullivan didn't mix well, not to mention just getting hurt on the job, they both knew that could easily happen, as well as the possibility of transfers....
