Subject: Olympic disappointment

I cannot express my personel disappointment strongly enough in the failure of the British Rythmic Gymnastics team recently. Surely there are stronger rythmic gymnasts in the country than the ones entered for the qualifying competition and who at least are capable of beating the Swiss. Since when have they been Rythmic Gymnasts. The slot on the Thames Tonight news recently showed a club from North west London with certainly at least one very talented girl demonstrating a faultless display by comparison in one of the required disciplines ie the ball.....Surely the best gymnasts we have should be drawn from regional areas and not only from one club made up of girls who are certainly not up to the grade. Funding to pick the best and most promising is surely the route forward.
