Agree with Jon, we need to manage expectations and be realistic about what our goals should be.

On one level RG can be viewed as a single sex, minority sport in this country, focused on the right "physique", with none delivery of results at international competitions. Not the strongest selling story for the powers that be in terms of funding.

Please note this is not meant as being disrespectful to any of the dedicated coaches/gymnasts/parents as we do so well with what we have

A sport that depends on delivery c95% of its gymnasts results out of a club structure will always be subject to the vagaries of that structure. Some clubs have great facilities which enable gymnasts to be trained before & during school hours and others have great coaches doing great things with limited resources. Geographical spread and the differences in club ownership eg business & membership will always make it difficult to align behind anything new.

Given there are a number of difficulties, that said, our gymnasts do so well. We need to have realisim with the powers that be of what can be delivered, agree better targets and focus behind achieving those.
