think there are a number of issues-
1. Why if the Australia Youth is for 13- 19 and olympic hohopefuls were Magalie (aged 18) and Frankie F (age 16)not considered?
2. If you are intending to make a decision about who goes in Nov for a comp in Jan would you not use the scores at the British champs?
3. Why do they only select from squad not always the best gymnasts - remember if this was this time last year Kerrie and Jo were not in squad. Given Rachel M was ahead of Amy at British it is not fair that she could not take part in trials - Rachel M has been very badly treated. In other sports the selection is not just from squad. There will not be too many gymnasts if comp opened up - as coaches will only put in gymnasts who have a chance
4. At the control comp at grades cores were not displayed dont know if scores were given to coaches but I am very suspicious if scores not displayed - might be the way they did things in eastern Europe but it is not the way we usually do things - we have a tradition of fair play. How does anyone know that Rachel S did not score so well ? looked good to most people- think Rachel S also badly treated
If there is to be a control comp then think everyone should know scores so everyone knows where they are

Does this mean that 4 gymnasts wil not have to trial for squad this year ?

Of course the 4 will now get a lot of extra training and and so may then do better

I am not attached to clubs of either rachel
