Subject: competition judging

New year, new Rhythmic competition timetable. What about a fresh start.

What is your view on all our rhythmic competitions having an independent "floating judge", this judge would replace a club judge when that clubs own Gymnast was performing. This would remove any suggestion of "club" bias

Similarly an independent judge to consider any problems arising during the competition....to act as final arbitrator re routines, sheets etc.

FIG rules point to Judge's declaring an interest,thus an independent judge replacing a club judge would go some way to meeting concerns about club bias, which can only be good for the sport.

2009 is the chance to take this forward. Over to you technical committee.
