I am sorry but you are wrong - as far as I am aware gymansts and parents were told what mark they needed for British and for Grades finals before the competition so everyone knew what mark they had to get - the problem was no scores were displayed on the day. In the past scores have been shown at grades and some parents who had been to grades for a number of years said they had never known scores not to be shown.

Scores at competitions in Cardiff are often a problem - with scores not being shown for some gymnasts and then several scores being shown for the same gymnast as well as incorrect scores being shown for others! why it is a problem in Cardiff and no where else I dont know - it was problems in organising the correct scores being shown that was the reason given to some people that scores were not being shown - because they could not be certain they would show the correct scores - the trouble was some coaches, gymnasts and parents were given the scores on the day - the favoured few - obviously causing bad feeling.

Others thought no scores were shown so that they could be certain the 'right gymnasts' got through to British - I am sure this is not true but that is the trouble when you have a secretive system - people will be suspicious!
