Boy, reading the last two posts makes its sound like we never had any exciting games with good atmosphere at Harbor Yards, which is just not true, and some of them have been great atmosphere. The problem is that, there just has not been enough of those. Only 20% of our games.....12 of 50 have been over 3,200, and only 10% of them have been over 4,000. We need more of those not the 1,700 type games.

I would not call it a tragedy that we never averaged 3,000 fans per game. The tragedy is that we did not increase attendance, nor season tickets during back to back 19 win seasons. Nobody said this was going to be easy, but it needs to go in the right direction.

I have been to exciting Fairfield games at AHY, some with good crowds and some not, also some with great atmosphere too. While it was great fun either way, I agree with you that there just has not been enough of those.

I would still call it a tragedy though that after the first season, with an average attendance of 2835, the University failed to increase the attendance dispite back to back almost 20 win seasons; and the numbers have gone down hill every year. I agree with you that nobody did say it was going to be easy but hopefully the new administration will have a better marketing plan to the students, alumni and the local fan.
