A tournament with Fordham, Georgetown, Holy Cross and Fairfield could draw if promoted properly. An event like this would need the right sponsor. The stags sold out a holiday tournament 12 years ago when they played at Alumni hall. Granted a sell out was only 2900 tickets but that's not to bad given school was out of session and there was no big name draw like a Georgetown.

For an event like this to be successful, the following elements would be required:

1) you would need a sponsor with deep pockets to offer a guarantee to attendees
2) You would need at least one big name team (Georgetown)
3) Fairfield would need to be having a decent season (not enter the tourney 1-5)
4)You would need to promote it properly
5) The tourney would need TV coverage.

Unfortunately, this won't happen as Fairfield has proven inept at securing items 2, 3, 4 and 5. But an independent sponsor (like a UTC or GE) could make an event like this a success.
