Subject: Amtrak Lil Saints Club - Kids Night Out
In reply to: Stagophile 's message, "Re: column: Fairfield arena solution may be close to home" on 03:17:48pm 01/17/06 Tue,

Fact: According to the Fairfield University Strategic Plan, the average age of the alumni base is 37. What are a majority of people doing around this point in life? Having kids and raising a family!!!

With this fact in mind, here is a great alumni/fundraising idea from Siena to go along with their Amtrak Lil' Saint Club...Kids Night Out.

Kids Night Out is billed as an event for "Mom and Dad...Take the night off on us: Are you looking for night out? Well, Siena Field Hockey and Water Polo presents 'Kids Night Out' for families of the greater Albany community." "Make new friends...Hang out with Saints players...Help support Siena athletics..." They are hosting the event on five different occassions probably with different sports represented and charging $10 for each kid. It's basically a glorified babysitting session, but, I am sure they have all sorts of activities lined up for the kids.

I think it's a neat idea that alumni parents would greatly appreciate and the kids would be thrilled about.

The Siena website is filled with Saints marketing and promotion ideas that easily could/should work here. They apparently use these ideas to promote their athletics with the local fan, Siena alumni and current Siena students. Who at Fairfield is responsible for these types of activities?
