Another game that has to be rated right up there, even though historically it is not as significant, was our victory over St John's on the Redman's home court where they rarely lost. At the time, and with St John's sporting a full roster, an NIT championship, it was very significant, and rates up there with the excitement, of the UCONN, Holy Cross, Marshall, and teh MAAC Championships. It also got huge coverage in NYC, and quite a bit nationally.

I think the worst loss was vs Florida, and I think the scenario was we were up 3 with 2 seconds to go and we had the ball in our end of the court...... and there was no 3-pointer back then. But we threw it in, Mark Young fouled, they hit the first FT, missed the 2nd, and tapped it in. All we had to do was hand the ball to Florida and we would have won.

Trivia Question; When AJ Wynder hit his game tying last second shot vs Iona in the MAAC tourney. Who threw the ball inbounds to him, and did Iona put a defender in front of the the player that inbounded the ball??????

This one is probably not on tape. How about the Mike Branch/Pat Burke/ Jim Brown team of the sixties which beat Bob Cousy in his debut game as coach of nationally ranked Boston College. This contest had nationwide pregame publicity.
