if players are not getting it done on the boards then sit them. put reedal in there with mos and go full board with the outside shooting. play to our strength and don't worry about what we don't have. hit a few threes and ride the emotion of the game. did you know that its a fact that players jump twice as high after they hit a three, and this is a home game isn't it. this team has to have the mindset that we will outscore the opponent, and i do not think they are used to thinking that way. the fans surely aren't. i would like to see more of herbie too.

here is a stat for you
Reedal played SO LITTLE against PC
I REPEAT, SO LITTLE, and that COULD HAVE BEEN THE DIFFERENCE----that WAS the difference.
the kid can be a game breaker.
( MOS did not play much the first 2 years either )

Unless you are perceived as immediately ready to step on the court and play like Jon Han, TOT's philosophy is to sit on the bench and learn by watching games and participating in practice. How is one able to get ready to play in games by not playing in games, at least in some type of limited role. It sounds as if Greg Nero may be able to step in and play right away, but why in the world would a kid come to Fairfield to primarily sit for a year or more.

I think if you look at all the players over TOT's tenure, you will find that most started as freshman, and if not, then they played good amounts a freshman and probably started as sophs. The only exeptions to that are probably Middleton, Feleccia, and Carter (3 out of 15 recruits). I think TOT plays frosh more than the average coach, and if he doesn't there is usually a good reason.

Players started as frosh
-----------------------
Han
Todd
Max
Gai
Goode
Sogadzi
Thomson
Logan
Price
Clark

Players playing sigificant as Frosh or started as Soph
-----------------------------------
MVS
MOS
Bell
Delfico
Garcia

To be determined
-----------------
Herbie
Reedal
Hawkins

Did not play much as Frosh
---------------------------
Middleton
Feleccia
Carter

i cannot think of any freshman or other player that was screwed out of playing time except for leroy robertson and he was screwed by clark, who happend to be a freshman. if people think middleton or reedal should get more minutes then please state who gets less minutes. if you say carter, then we don't have a chance of beating providence. i do feel that reedal deserves middletons minutes.

I agree with Robertson, he should have started over Clark. But I would also add Delfico and Rob Thomson as 2 players that should have got more PT.

Delfico had to sit behind Logan who was another freshman at the time, and eventually played behind him in his soph and and half his junior year. I thought that was an injustice and I said that from Delfico's freshman year. In fact Maxwell started over Delfico for half of Delfico's senior year, and Delfico was a Captain and Mawwell a freshman.

Thomson also had PT taken away from him, and that was by a freshman too (named Gai).

So I think TOT gas started freshman to a fault at times
