JoeStag,

Thanks for your thoughtful posts. I've seen Max running on North Benson Road at 7 a.m., and it's great to hear that he is practicing.

What do you make of Han starting at the point? Does it look like he'll be there vs St. Joe's? And can Oglesby play at the three? I'm trying to figure out where he'll get minutes.

I expect a surprising year from Carter and think many will be glad he came back.

Stago,
There was some mention of WVOF moving their position on the dial, but just talk as one option, along with increasing the signal or working with other stations. IMO, Fairfield should just buy another radio station and move WVOF. There was talk of TV Broadcasts thru Cablevision but the channels that they wanted to put us on are way up the dial, and not many viewers..... again a Cost vs Benefit thing. No talk of Internet or Han broadcasts.

79er,
It looks like Han could start even against St Francis. He is definitely has PG talents that nobody else on this team has. The question is if he is ready for Division I defenses. From what I have seen and heard over the last few days, I think we will go with 6 basic starters:

PG: Han
2G: Todd
3G: Bell
PF: Carter
PF: MOS
** Note MVS could easily be a starter at any one of the Guard positions according to TOT.

Both Herbie and Oglesby off the bench at guard, and they could be are 2 most explossive guards. TOT said that Oglesby is much like Bell in that they are good off picks, so I think we might see Oglesby at 3G. In addition, I think we will go to a 4-guard line-up on occassion.

I see Reedal and Middleton as backups at PF. They offer 2 totally diiferent skill sets, so depending on opponent and game situations, one might play more than the other. Reedal has looked very good, so I think it would be difficult to not give him a shot. Middleton is very big with long arms, so his presence alone does help the inside "D" if need be.

JS,

Thanks for the detailed update. I look for a .500 season with the Stags turning it on down the stretch run.

Aside from Nero, disappointing about recruiting. There is a very fine line between recruiting undiscovered gems and leftovers the longer the process goes into the Spring.
