I don't get aggravated if I miss something because these days I can't count on catching anything. Cat's been wearing me out and I go to sleep when she does. I have been liking

The Apprentice
Joan of Arcadia -- I like Adam
Clean Sweep -- !!!!!

I'm also looking forward to the return of Carnivale. Have we talked about that before? I enjoyed it the first season, like Sophie best (though the Norman Bates echoes are creeping me out a bit), and am disappointed that the main hero is dumb as a brick. I just really like the setting, as I'm a sucker for Grapes of Wrath homages. I was having fun analyzing it as a geographical metaphor for WWII - hero is U.S. (though Johnny was a baseball player), hero's dad is Britain, blind guy is Poland, management is probably Russia, though Rev. may be Russia if he's not Germany. His sister is definitely Vichy France, the slut.

I've also completed watching all of OZ. I don't really know why I liked it -- maybe b/c it was a soap where it wasn't the women who were always raped. At least it had an explanation why no one ever left (something I've always wondered about Llanview, etc.). It even had a nice trickster in Ryan O'Reilly. And Beecher-Keller-Schillinger was a nice triangle. I still couldn't bring myself to care for the martyrs (Said, McManus).
