Their story could have been an interesting allegory about reaping what they sowed and knowing a tree by its fruit. Their marriage is a sterile dead thing. Nothing good will ever come of it because it was borne of lies and enormous betrayal. TIIC have two actors (had one in Melchoir, too, JMO) who are fully capable of playing the fuck out of marital disintegration, and it's a story I'd have enjoyed watching, especially if Joe, Jen, and Rex were involved (that's the karmic dancecard, if you ask me).

And lest there be any misunderstanding, this is not an "only Todd for Blair" or "only Blair for Todd" thing. It's A-OK with me to break these two up. It's A-OK with me to bring them back together. What sucks is the double whammy of doing the same hack job over and over changing ONLY the trolls who don't really belong in the story. It's a "tell the story that's begging to be told" thing.

I'm like a broken record on the Cord connection. Blair has actual reason to be attracted to him, and he's karmically bound to Todd's SISTER. But it doesn't have to be Cord. All I ask is that, for once, it's someone who makes sense.

Better yet, since this is definitely Todd and Blair's dysfunctional dance, and since having sex with someone who thinks you're someone else is a pretty nasty thing (remember Troy's wife, Joanna?), leave everyone else out of it and let them work to whatever resolution they get to. I do not care HOW it is resolved (especially since soap resolutions are always temporary unless a couple leaves together). I just want to see something that makes sense to me and resonates on an emotional level other than anger or nausea.
