Carlotta quickly turned into a self-righteous shrew shortly after she got the old Vega restaurant back.
Carlotta was VERY cool and savvy as Dorian's ultra-discreet HOUSEKEEPER. And I thought they should have KEPT her there with Dor-Lor, because I could have seen our diva Dorian and her sidekick,Carlotta on a LOT of adventures together. Think of DOOL's own Vivian Alamain and her devoted man-servant IVAN, think of Asa roping the long-suffering Nigel into several of his schemes.
I could also see Carlotta as Jack and Starr's NANNY. Yes that short, beleaguered German woman is pretty damn cute, but every once in a while the Mannings need a firm hand. Carlotta could have provided that and Starr would have had more FUN with Carlotta to get around. She bullies her own nannies too easily.
Carlotta really belonged with the Cramers. She was so grounded and would have been the Voice of Reason to all FOUR of those neurotic women with outrageous secrets.
Once that huffy-puffy PHONIO blew into town and swept her out of the Cramer Orbit into her own resturant, that was it. But then Phonio sucks the life and brains out of every woman he comes into contact with.
I don't know where Carlotta owning a restaurant that she'd have to spend 14-16 hours a day, 24-7 at was beneficial to her. With Dorian, she had good pay, BENEFITS, an interesting employer and access to rich and powerful people, not to mention eligible bachelors like Clint. And she still had a day or two off, not to mention her day was OVER after eight hours. If it wasn't, she got OVERTIME. In short, Carlotta had time for a social life. I saw her spend more time with her friends in Angel Square when she worked for Dorian than when she re-opened that damned restaurant. After that, she basically had NO LIFE outside of fretting over her stupid fat-headed SONS and their girlfriends. And I don't put it past that egomaniac, PHONIO, to plan it that way.
