...to make a good run of any role, and yeah, I really recommend this one as an especially good turn and a fascinating step/stretch beyond that brilliant role that you tend to align him with. The writing has depth, the Big Easy atmosphere is like a separate character in itself, a really good groundwork has been set. FX is becoming my hero for good drama with complex characters.
If you do get the chance to catch it, I hope you like it! :)
Ditto to your comment on "House" too. I really don't do the whole 'medical drama-drama' but every once in a while I'll make an exception and leave that show on for Hugh Laurie and his sarcastic Doc. He makes all of that disease enduring worth it. ;)
