Subject: Gold Medals for Canadian skaters!!!

I knew it would not take long, but there is now a program in place that plans to issue gold medals to Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, our Canadian figure skating champions.

There is a group taking a collection of used and unwanted gold bracelets, chains, rings, etc, and you can send it to them. They are taking donations from all across Canada and are hoping to collect six pounds of gold. Once they do they will break it down and produce two gold medals to present to the pair.

These would not be official Olympic medals but they would be representative of the hearts of Canadians from coast to coast. You tell me what would be worth more to you!!

I don't have any gold myself, but the neighbors have a golden retriever that is quite annoying. Maybe I will send that to get melted down. Hehehe. I'm just kidding, please don't forward this post to PETA!

At any rate, if anyone is interested, they can visit the website at www.goldencanadians.com for more information and an update on their progress. I just heard them talking on the radio about this and it really does sound on the level.

.. Apparently the Canadians are being presented a GOLD medal on the 21st!! Seeeeeeee, prayers DO get answered!!
