Let me say first that this prophecy I believe is about Yeshua, which means 'HaShem saves' as it is written in HaBosorat MattitYahu, (the gospel of Matthew) and you shall call his name Yeshua for he will Yeshai (hope I've spelt that right?) his people from their sins. His people in this context are the Jews. Moshe was a saviour of Israel so is Yeshua, Moshe was Jewish, so is Yeshua
Moshe kept the Torah as given at Mount Sinai, so did Yeshua The prophet like unto Moshe would also keep the Torah, it tells us in the Hebrew Scriptures that this prophet would only speak the words that HaShem commanded him. And The B'sorat HaMashich of Yocanan bears witness to this fact Yeshua's own words say in chapter 12:49 of Yochanan, 'For I have not spoken of myself; but the father who sent me He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. The Christian idea of Jesus is not the same as the Yeshua of the gospels,while Christians believe him to be the Mashiach and in that I agree, because yeshua also came to call people from the nations back to the God Of Israel, what they teach about the Mashiach,is as far as I know not accurate according to the teachings of Yeshua himself when put into their Jewish 1st century context. Yeshua was not a Muslim, he was Jewish rabbi.
Another point is the Torah teaches that if a prophet arises and shows a sign and a wonder and the sign and the wonder comes to pass, and he says let us go after other gods and leads you away from the way in which I have commanded you to walk in. (i.e. the Torah) you are to have nothing to do with that prophet, because HaShem did't send him, he is a false prophet, The christian teaching of Jesus by and large says that he did away with the Torah, that maybe is one of the reasons why many Jews cannot accept Yeshua as the Prophet like unto Moshe, nevertheless once it is properly explained that Yeshua did not do away with torah, in fact he came to interpret Torah properly, and that he himself was a Torah observant Jew all his life, you then have another perspective. thanks
