Awhile back Dr. Jackson posted the stoning scene from Monty Python's "Life of Brian" and I thht it would be a shame for the semester to come to a close without having another one of the greatest scenes posted. The movie itself is fantastic, but one of the funniest scenes is when Brian, the mistaken messiah, is followed back to his house and his followers call him out to address him. He has been fighting the idea of being any kind of prophet the entire time, but finally he is forced by his mother, the Virgin Mandy, to address the crowd. He gives a heartfelt speech about teh importance of not trying to follow or imitate any one and just thinking for one's self. Unfortunately the message is lost on the crowd.
