It is hard to fully conceive if it is possible to love without it first coming from God as a Christian. As Christians we learned love from God/Jesus and are trying to follow in His path. One could argue that there are non-Christians that are fully capable of love. I think the problem here is what the motivation for their forgiveness is. Christians might argue that God is still present, and the person is simply choosing not to acknowledge His presence. Also, I don’t think everyone (even Christians) do acknowledge God’s presence and influence in their love. When it comes to God’s influence on something I think it’s hard for humans to comprehend it. Again, it is hard for me personally as a Christian to think that love would come from another source besides God.
