It sounds like a good comparison to me. I used to get hopelessly confused by end-times discussions, because everyone seemed so certain of exactly when they would happen, but they couldn't agree. Once,I had a Sunday school teacher who told us a joke about a Jewish rabbi who said, "We Jews have been waiting for the Messiah, and are still waiting for Him to come, and may be waiting for a long time still. You Christians say He has already come, and you are waiting for Him to come again, and may be waiting for a long time still. And we argue about this continually. Were it not better that we stop arguing, and when the Messiah does come, ask Him whether He has been here before?"
