Hi Joe,
I live near Los Angeles, California. Our govenor is Arnold Schwarztenegger. He is very popular and is trying to bring some fiscal sanity to California. Arnold is fiscally conservative and socially liberal. Which only goes to show that Republicans have become the 'big-tent' pary and the Democrats have become the 'small-tent' party of extremists.

I almost voted for Michael Peroutka but switched at the last moment and voted for Bush. I would say it was the moral issues for me. Moral issues such as, abortion, gay marriage, and religious freedom. Another item that burned me towards Bush was the lies and vile coming from Michael Moore and the liberal elite. I'm just disgusted by their arrogance and shallowness.

Now, my liberal friends say that they have moral values too. They say that raising the minimum wage is a moral value and ending 'corporate fraud' is a moral value. They have what I call 'socialist moral values'. There moral values are closer to Marx then Jefferson. Yes, there is some merit to 'socialist moral values' but you will never carry much weight with me (and middle America)when you say its 'immoral' to pay someone 6.00 per hour, but its ok to murder and kill the unborn.
