Chris,

never saw this one before. Quite apocalyptic for sure. The cathedral seemingly the only building remaining amidst the surrounding rubble.

On a quick google search it would appear that the Cologne Raid was the first major RAF bombing run of the war and that the city was bombed on the night of May 30th 1942 by over 800 planes. Over 45,000 citizens were made homeless.
