Mike, I appreciate your thoughts and think some of them are of moderate value.

I feel like it might be the right thing to stop using this terminology because I will be calling you "fundamentalist" and you will be calling me "liberalist." And you don't consider yourself a fundamentalist. I object to being called a liberalist although some of my views are liberal. The reason being is that I don't come up with my liberal views and try to justify them from thin air. I have come to these views after years of studying scripture, reading theological books, prayer and personal reflection.

As a side note, I'd recommend this book:
Understanding Fundamentalism and Evangelicalism by George M. Marsden. (No, it's not written from a liberal perspective.)
