Subject: North Koreans think the unthinkable?
In reply to: ts 's message, "North Koreans boasting of the bomb_worse than blasting it?" on 20:29:00 02/10/05 Thu

What do you think about this article: North Koreans think the unthinkable?

I'd like to seeit positive as the author, however, it is still highly irritating for me that these people are able to make a big riot because of a (probably not even unjust) decision of a soccer referre, but were not able to make at least a tiny little riot because of the permanent unjust acts of their government in the last decades. It's hard to understand their mindset. Any explanations?

Actually, North Koreans learn to be aggressive and militant (against their enemies such as America), and I think they just wanted to release some of the steam of this sublimal aggression against foreign countries. They know very well that aggression against foreigners is allowed and tolerated by the government, since nearly all foreigners are consideres enemies, as they do not follow the Juche ideology. Just as in a cult, everybody outside is considered kind of evil. So, it is actually not very convincing for me that the North Koreans think something "unthinkable." This would be the case if their rioting would be against anything such as their government or their Juche ideology.

Any comments on this?
