Precisely. The $40 mil. inauguration is just a drop in the bucket of excess. And it is these presidential inaugurations that get so much attention that I have a problem with. A canceled or toned-down inauguration might mean a bad year or a bad quarter for the Washington DC florists, chefs, gardeners, hair stylists, fasion designers and paparazzi, but it won't put them in the poorhouse.

Let the wealthy have their lavish parties (and invite me sometime), but I just think the President ought to be different and more mindful of what's going on in the world.
