Mike, your just playing games. Let me try again.

You are drawing the wrong conclusion ...Bush along with Blair and other European leaders were given evidence by various sources that Saddam had WMD's. Based on conversations that Hussien had with his commanders in the field, some beleive that even Saddam thought he had WMD's. As it turns out that evidence was wrong. This situation is very different then saying Bush lied and concocted the whole story.

Historically starting wars does NOT help a president. Lets review again:

1952: Harry Truman poll numbers so low because of Korean war he cannot win Dem nomination. Eisenhower wins election based on ending Korean war. Which he does

1968: Lyndon Johnson so unpopular because of the Vietnam war does not even bother to try for relection. Nixon elected on the promise of getting USA out of Vietnam. He finally does in 1975.

Lets go back to 1864, the only reason Lincoln wins relection is that the Dem vote is split with Breckenridge.

If Bush is the kind of self-interested person you think he is, he certainly does not start a war, he does what Clinton did...which is to do nothing and let the next President do something about it.

Yet having gone into Iraq, the right thing to do was to stay and finish the job and give Iraq's the oppurtunity for Freedom and Democracy. BTW, this at the cost of American lives and money! What they do with this oppurtunity will be decided by the Iraq's themselves. Its the same oppurtunity that MY country gave YOUR country after WWII.(Which cost even more lives and money) Do the Iraq's deserve any less?

You have such hatred in your heart for any republican President that it clouds your logic. In addition, Germans who go out and comapre Bush to Hitler show such ignorance and misuderstanding of not only Bush but the American people. It is extremely foolish for Germans to try and see Americans through the lens of the GERMAN experience.
