I don't think that politics are competely given over to Satan. Romans 15:1 says "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authroity except that which God has established."

Maybe we should have a separate discussion on Romans 15, I've had quite a bit of dispute with others on this verse before, because for some, this verse is a justification for passivism, fatalism and even toleration of evil.

You know, one can say that about a ruler they agree with, but if this verse is to be taken "as is", then it would mean God has also established Saddam Hussein, and then Bush's interference with Saddams reign of terror would have been rebellion against God, does this make sense? I hope it does NOT http://www.tag-board.com/smilies/dizzy.gif">

If God sat back and let man go as man willed than mankind would have surely destroyed himself by now.(With Satan's help)
This, however, is the message conveyed in Romans chapter 2.

But I think we should take the discussion about Rom15:1 into a separate thread, it might become interesting when more people join in.

Anyways, regarding my opinion on Bush, I'm being more provocative than I intended to. You shouldn't think I'd hate Bush from the bottom of my heart, I'm not more suspicious about him than about any other politician, because I believe the minute we drop our suspicion, we also let down our guard and we may allow someone to overstep their authority. Another lesson I learned from UBF.

In Christ,
Mike K.
