I think the fourth estate has become talk radio. Nationally, people like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mike Savage have become powerful influences. Here in Los Angles it was local talk radio that galvanized support and pushed the drive to oust govenor Gray Davis.

One unique aspect of American talk radio is that it is not shackled by political correctness as other forms of media. It is 'free-radio' in America.
