You get no argument from me, Jim. I would describe myself as a Tsongas-Kemp-McCain conservative independent :). I am deeply pro-life.

But I wonder if these differences between Bush and Kerry and issues of American social politics are of any interest to our European and asian friends here.

We might be better off focusing on the thing that's been keeping me up at night (even more than UBF): the fight against global terror and what's being called Islamo-fascism. It seems like half of Americans believe that Bush is taking the right approach to combat terrorism, but only about 5% of the rest of the world agrees with us (the rest hate Bush). So maybe that's the real issue (Bush Administration policy to combat global terror) that could be discussed here.

(Actually, UBF doesn't keep me up at night anymore.)
