Thanks for your little "life testimony." Sounds a little bit like the life of Douglas Adams, maybe you will start to write books one day?

Some facts about me. The first fact is that I am always suffering from lack of time, so I will keep this short. This is also the reason why I may visit this board only very sporadically. I was born in the year when "The Sound of Music" (see movie thread) premiered, so I am not 29 any more either. If I could undo my 10 years in UBF, I would be 29.

Before UBF, I was a computer freak. Studied mathematics and physics. Got frustrated about the meaning of life (personal and overall), which lead to depression. Started reading the Bible in UBF and found a new meaning of life in Christ. Stayed 10 years in UBF, because I thought I had to pay back this wonderful gift to the organization and because of the other cult mind control discussed elsewhere, also because lack of information about UBF at that time. Left UBF in 2001 together with my wife. We married 1999 UBF style, but since we both loved and trusted each other more than the organization, could break free. We have one cute little son who had his 4th birthday yesterday. Currently, I am working at the university and part-time in my own spin-off-company I founded with a colleague. I am also studying theology in my spare time, visiting seminaries and learning on my own. It's very helpful after the UBF experience.
