I've read that Christian parents should try to instill in their kids the meaning, value and seriousness of marriage. That's probably more important than rules about dating and/or courtship.

The main paradigm in child education is to give them a good example as parents. Educating by being a good example concerns all areas, not only dating and marriage. It they see you as parents live differently and much more happy than other parents then they start to ask how to build such a happy family.
