I learned about also from perusing this German blog:
http://medienkritik.typepad.com/blog/.

I start to like reading blogs. They are often much better and enjoyable than the official media. I was also amazed to see how quickly the blogger scene revealed the Bush memos fake. I recently discovered that there are not only political blogs, but blogs on so many interesting topics, like for instance on my favorite programming language Python:

I think, if you wisely use it, the Internet is a real blessing. But on the other hand, it can be used for so evil and unspeakable things. Maybe this is always the case with things which are so powerful. The problem is that people tend to abuse powerful things. Atomic energy is a similar thing. It can be used wisely, it can be used carelessly (Chernobyl) and it can be used deathly (Hiroshima). Given the sinful human nature tends, powerful things may turn out a curse for mankind.

Next week I will have some days of vacation in Northern Germany - my first vacation alone with my wife; our son will stay with the grandparents. In my 10 years of UBF, the word "vacation" did not exist, and after UBF I was too busy with a new job and study. I won't read the Internet or touch the computer during these days and I wonder whether I will get a withdrawal syndrome ;-)
